Hit that cause Sidney Crosby's 5 month absence



This hit happened in the NHL's winter classic and is the reason why star player Sidney Crosby has been out for so long.  Crosby received a nasty concussion after being blindsided in the head by David Steckle.  Many people consider this to be a dirty hit and I believe it could have been avoided.  He was a dynamic part of the Pittsburgh team and this injury could be the reason they don't win another Stanley Cup.

  10. Judging from the video, I can't say I think Steckel should have been punished. He had his eyes up the ice where the puck was and Crosby decided to turn into him. Looks like it was Crosby's fault to me.
